From the Sleepytime Gorilla Museum page on Facebook:

Loyal followers of the Museum, the following will stop your bloody and beating heart. Mike Patton, Matthias Bossi, Scott Amendola, and William Winant will perform a live score to the 1924 film “Waxworks” on May 7th at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco.

Patton (Mr. Bungle, Faith No More, Fantômas, Tomahawk) Bossi (Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Book Of Knots, Skeleton Key, Fred Frith) Amendola (Nels Cline SIngers, Charlie Hunter, Madeleine Peyroux) and Winant ( John Zorn, Thurston Moore, John Cage, Anthony Braxton) need no introduction. The combination of these three wildlly-different drummers with the single most face-melting vocalist of his generation will be unlike anything the movie-going public has witnessed.

In the absence of a new record from SGM, this event is sure to satisfy your thirst for the stormy, vigorous and relentless sonic explorations you crave.

Tickets will be gone quicker than a glass with no bottom, so act accordingly.

Caca Volante Google+ Community

I know I have a Caca Volante page for just about every major web presence, but I’d really prefer CV to continue to exist as a community (which is how it originally started), rather than just another news site, especially since I rarely post “news” anymore.

So let’s give this Google+ community thing a try.

What are Google+ communities? If you’re familiar with Facebook groups, it’s somewhat similar, but done in a much better way. I’ve been a fan of Google+ since it started, but I know a lot of you probably either aren’t on Google+ or rarely use it. I think these communities might be a good reason to give it another try.

There are plenty of Faith No More covers, but you don’t come across many Mr. Bungle covers. Here’s an acoustic cover of “Sweet Charity” by Perfectly Normal Band.
